Chassity

I’m a 10 year old who loves helping out the community, in hopes of trying to get others to help out also. I started a group called Chassity C.A.R.E.S which stands for Children Assist Realistic Everyday Situations. I decided to have Operation Lights Outs to get kids involved.

That night I received donations for the homeless shelter from my friends.  We prepared the meal for the nightly snack, for when the men and women come in from the cold for a good night sleep. We stayed busy by passing out 80 scarves.  One of the highlights of the night was when I asked a gentleman “If he would like a scarf?”  The guys stared looking at all the colors and I grabbed one and handed it to him and said “This one would be great.  It matches your shirt.”  The man then looked up at me with a smile and said “It sure does, I’ll take that one. Thank you!”   He walked away as he put it on around his neck.  The things that can just put a smile on somebody’s face by doing the littlest thing.  Is PRICELESS. Thank you King’s Harvest for giving us this great opportunity to help out. It was our pleasure to be a part of a great organization.  So much, that we are planning to do it again.  🙂
