Pet Ministry

adopt-a-thon

King’s Harvest is able to provide pet food on a monthly basis for low-income families.   Volunteers are needed one hour a week to hand out pet food.  This ministry allows families to have pets to care for and to be loved.

Volunteer hours are:

  • Wednesday and Friday: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  •  First and Third Saturdays of the month:  9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Volunteers are needed for weekend Adopt-a-Thons at local pet stores in Davenport or Moline.  If you love pets and want to help find them a loving home, call and find out what Adopt-a-Thons are all about.  We reach out to the community in hopes for someone to connect with one of our homeless pets.

Volunteers are also needed to help at the King’s Harvest Pet Rescue No-Kill Shelter.  Volunteers are needed to take out the dogs, play with the dogs, clean the dog kennels, clean out the kitty litter boxes, play with the cats, clean the cat rooms, and also help customers when they want to visit with the cats or dogs.  All volunteers must be at least 15 years old and must have an adult with them at all times.

Please fill out a volunteer application , call 563 386-3117 or visit http://kingsharvestpetrescue.org/ for more information.
